The Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Rochester welcomes you!

Many people who are gay or lesbian have left the church—with good reason. They have been oppressed by congregations that have misrepresented the good news of Jesus Christ. We do not believe that such congregations act as Christ intended. We believe that the primary message of the gospel is that God loves you.

If you feel your spirit is not being nourished, we hope that you will join us at one of the welcoming congregations in the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester.

Episcopalians are not expected to check our brains at the church door. The theology of the Episcopal Church is based not only on scripture, but also on reason and tradition. We believe every human being was created in the image of God--who calls us to discern the life that we were created to live.
